About Banjo
Billy
Banjo
Billy (Pinchas Spicer) was only 7 years old when he began playing and
performing music. Then in 1990 he completed his Bachelors Degree in Music
and has been composing and performing songs ever since. However it wasn't
until about 1998 when a friend gave him a gift that would change his life.
A used banjo.
Now Banjo Billy dedicates his songs to the Yidden of the world who want
to laugh and relate to the Jewish experience.
Originally under contract as a songwriter with Warner Chappell Music of
Australia, his dreams of writing for the secular pop world stepped aside
once he brought the Torah into his life and heart. He then decided to
quit his job, make aliyah from his home country of Australia an is now
living in Israel in the Holy City of Tsfat. Banjo billy made his debut
in America at the New York Jewish Music and heritage Festival, 2005 and
is continuing to find new audiences and praises to Hashem wherever he
goes.
